We finally have light in the bathroom! It took me forever to decide on a light fixture for the bathroom, but after going back and forth I decided to go with one from Lowe’s that looks a little bit vintage.
We had the lights installed by an electrician because of the tricky old wiring, and I’m happy that we did because it turned out to be even more complicated. It turns out that the bathroom was part of an earlier addition to the house, and the wall was not an ordinary interior wall. I guess there was extra wood that they had to drill through to move the wiring around, and I was just happy that they were doing it and not me.
The old light in the bathroom was not really my style, and it also wasn’t high enough for the new mirrors. We weren’t too sad to say good-bye to this one…
It was hard to get a good shot of things because the bathroom is so small and narrow, but I did my best to give you the overall look.
Next week I’ll have photos of the master bedroom with furniture if we can keep other problems to a minimum. So far this week we’ve had the air conditioner and Jimmee’s truck die so I don’t know what’s in store for next week. All I can say is I’m ready for the weekend! Jimmee’s mom and sister are coming to visit tonight and to see the house and then we’re off to Tulsa tomorrow for a wedding and to see some friends. :) Hope you all have a great weekend!
